CERTIFIED POSITIONS FOR 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR
 
LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE SPANISH TEACHER/BLDG SUB
Painesville City Local Schools is looking for a substitute high school Spanish Teacher for the first semester of the 2024-25 school year. We would continue employment as a building substitute teacher for the remainder of the school year.


The Substitute Teacher’s rate of pay is $148.00 for each full student teaching day for the first 20 consecutive days and on day 21 worked, the substitute will be placed at Step 0, BA on the salary schedule ($246/day) and will be eligible for sick and personal days during the long-term assignment.


For the second semester as a building sub, the rate of pay is $148.00 for each full student teaching day, unless assigned to another long-term position and then rate of pay would remain at $246/day.


Qualified candidates must hold proper licensure with the state and ODE.

  • Effective 8/14/2024
  • 185 day contract
  • 4.0 hrs/day
  • Class 2 (step 0 rate of pay - $15.50/hr)

Painesville City currently has a shortage of certified substitutes in all grade levels.  If you are interested in sub teaching, please contact the ESC of the Western Reserve to apply.  Once you are approved, your name is sent to PCLS and we will contact you.

CLASSIFIED NON-TEACHING SUBSTITUTES
Painesville City currently has a shortage of classified, non-teaching substitutes.  Some of the positions include secretarial, library, attendance caller, monitors in the lunchroom and bus, custodial, nutrition services, paraprofessionals in the classroom, van and bus drivers (requires a CDL).
